1. Try putting only one drop each time (more than one drop is wasted and may increase side effects).
2. Try closing your eye lids after putting the eye drop for few minutes.
3. Try putting pressure on the inner corner of your eye with the pulp of your index finger for a few minutes.
4. If you are using more than one eye drop, please leave a gap of about 30 minutes between them.
5. Try dividing the 24 hours into 2, 3 or 4 parts and use drops 12 hourly, 8 hourly or 6 hourly respectively.
6. Avoid using beta-blocker associated drops (Timoptol, Tiopex, Betaxolol) as the last thing at night before bed time.
7. Stop using drops if you have significant side effects or an allergic reaction and seek further advice from your doctor.
8. Please do not use an eye drop if it is past its expiry date and if you doubt its sterility.
9. Please keep a note of all your eye drops and the frequency of their use.
10. Please bring all your eye drops and medications to your clinic visits to avoid any confusion.
Feel free to discuss any issues with your medications with Mr Raj at your consultation.
