Mr Raj would like to carry out all the baseline eye checks on your 1st consultation. This also includes dilatation of your pupils (using dilating eye drops) to view the retina, optic nerve head and back of the eye. Dilatation of your pupils will lead to blurriness of your vision for up to 6 hours and it is advisable not to drive during this time after dilatation. If you are unable to arrange any other mode of transport, Mr Raj might have to bring you back another day to complete this part of the check up.
Please also note that for any subsequent appointments and for any laser procedures or surgery: you are best advised not to drive and have alternative mode of transport or come with someone who can take you back home.
