Glaucoma causes progressive loss of visual field. One needs to have a certain level of visual acuity and visual field to be able to be driving safely on the road.
It is advisable that you inform the DVLA if you have Glaucoma. It is your personal responsibility. You can be fined up to £1,000 if you don’t tell DVLA about a medical condition that affects your driving. If you’re involved in an accident, you may be prosecuted.
Glaucoma patients will need to fill a V1 form(https://www.gov.uk/glaucoma-and-driving) and the DVLA will most likely advise you to go for a binocular (with both eyes open) Esterman visual field test with one of the designated local centres near you(you can usually chose from the list of centres). The field test plotting on the top left is an Esterman binocular visual field. Discuss with Mr Raj if you have any concern.
